  • Mountains

Into the Himalayas is an episode of a 3 part cinematic 360 VR series exploring a corner of the longest  mountain chain in the world , it’s wildlife and the people that make it their home. The Himalayas are also the youngest mountains on our planet and they already show signs of a world and climate that has changed too fast.

To complete this VR experience and to truly transport the audience we set out to try and achieve what seemed impossible… to film wild snow leopards in 360. After months of trying and blind luck we succeeded in capturing a first ever moment. To sit next to one of the most endangered cats in the world and look out over it’s kingdom of gigantic mountains, we can feel their fragility and the uncertainty of a future that is yet come.

To enjoy it the best , please watch it with headphones on and on a VR headset if you possible 🙂

  • Remember my Story

Standing on the edge of the Pangong lake, Stanzin recalls the story which his grandfather used to tell him when he was a kid. They worshiped the rivers as holy deities but now most of these are facing threats of human intervention. In the Great Himalayan landscape these high altitude lakes maintain the sanctity of the place and provide fresh water sources to get through harsh winters. This 360 VR film shows the early signs of climate change and impact of tourism in the most fragile landscape, the Himalayas.
